Water Resources Engineering Project
My Master's research topic was "Hydrological Modelling of Deo River Sub-Basin using SWAT Model and Performance Evaluation using SWAT-CUP". The purpose of this research was to analyse the runoff using Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) for the rainfall events of sub-basin of Deo river in Gujarat, India. After developing the model, it was validated with the tool SWAT-CUP ( Soil and Water Assessment Tool-Calibration Uncertainty Program) with Sequential Uncertainty Fitting (SUFI-2) algorithm. The model period selected was 2000 to 2017 with validation period of 2013 to 2017.
GIS Collaborative Project
During GIS study at Fleming College, I got an opportunity to collaborate with two other classmates and work on a project for Haliburton county, Ontario, Canada. Our project topic was "Remote Sensing Data and Tools Framework for Haliburton Highlands Land Trust". The project involved collection and organization of spatial data available on various websites for Haliburton Highlands Land Trust (HHLT) in a PostgreSQL or Postgres spatial Database. In addition, We created automated workflow for analysing habitat suitability of a plant species in the county, that workflow can be further reused by them by making necessary changes to make another related spatial analysis. Softwares used during the project were PostgreSQL, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS and Adobe Illustrator.
